Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet Op 75 for Piano
Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet Op 75 for Piano
Prokofiev’s longest and most important ballet. In terms of its fame, the Dance of the Knights stands out as one of Prokofiev’s best-known works. The composer considered the music viable enough to arrange this ten-movement suite of the best-known parts for piano. He only transcribed his own compositions and considered transcriptions of other composer’s works to be ‘annoying’ and ‘unclean’. I hope these much-loved pieces inspire you as much as they have inspired so many pianists before.
