Pirastro Oliv violin strings are the first quality gut core strings used by professional players worldwide, providing a rich, complex tone with a brilliant sound. The sheep gut core of Oliv strings is manufactured, wound and polished in the traditional way, by hand.

The G, D and A strings are finely wound and polished, with a warm brilliant tone. The E string is gold plated on chrome steel. The medium set contains the following strings:

E: gold-steel medium, A: aluminium 13 1/2, D: gold-aluminum 16 3/4, G: gold-silver 15 3/4 (ball end)
